Wall no 108 at Gurgaon Artistes’ Fest

I am trying to show that Gurgaon is one city where we have MNC’s from all over the world and hence we welcome the people from across the globe. Gurgaon offers a welcome to everyone and hence we have so much Diversity of cultures too wherein Expats and people from various cultures be it Bengalis, Gujaratis, from South and from all over India come and love to reside here. My team members are Navita, Henry, Rekha, Jyoti and Srishti. Our captions are….’I Love Gurgaon’ and ‘Door for the World  -Gurgaon‘ “, says much exuberated Manissha.

Manissha Khanna like may other artists participating in the whole program pulled by GAP, Gurgaon Action Plan, founded by Gauri Sarin, is an accomplished artist. With more than 2 decades of experience in artistic pursuits, she has 40 art shows- national , international and auctions collectively to her credt. She trained herself for using Art as Therapy from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore after graduation from Delhi University and Corporate Social Responsibility from United Nations Institute for Training and Researchto work as a CSR Consultant with Corporates and NGO’s offering art and design consultancy services with a focus on enhancing creativity and skill development.

 

She is offering consultancy services to Corporate : Godfrey Philips India Limited and NGO’s : Action Center for Transformation mainly working on skill development of women. Art as therapy at NGO’s : Muskaan, Akshay Pratishthan, Aga Khan Foundation. She is Board Advisory : Ancient Arts Society & Member at Art Therapists Association of Singapore.

Manissha took art training at Triveni Kala Sangam, Delhi and honed her skills with the expertise of professionals from J J School of Arts, Mumbai; Kanoria Centre of Arts and C N Vidyalaya of Arts, Ahmedabad. She has experimented with many mediums including oils, acrylics, chalk pastels, cloth, charcoal, terracotta clay, fibre glass sculptures and calligraphy art.She made her recognition in the contemporary art world with her distinct style of experimentation, exploration and acceptance of discrete perceptions.

Besides Manissha, several esteemed artists like Ambhalsi Dutta, Kaveri Ray, from city and from outside joined to color the city of concrete jungle .
