But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.

Remembering You by Revisiting Past Grandeur.

Marriage is a mosaic you build with your spouse. Millions of tiny moments that create your love story. Built since 1464, Neemrana Fort-Palace became the third capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III, who had fled Delhi in 1192 after he was vanquished in battle by Muhammad Ghori. Neemrana's rulers, proud of lineage, continued to assert themselves, even under the British, as their kingdom suffered. Thus, their lands were clipped and given away to Alwar, Patiala, Nabha and others who entertained the viceroys of the Raj with shikar and Champagne breakfasts. The Chauhans would bow to none.

Love is the greatest gift when given. It is the highest honor when received. In 1947, Raja Rajinder Singh of Neemrana moved down to Vijay Bagh as the fade of his Fort-Palace crumbled and its ramparts began to give way. For forty years he tried to rid himself of his liability but there were no takers. Artwork on the wall inside the room. If you're not happy with where you are and what you've got, you won't be happy with where you go or what you get. Happiness is a choice for today. Neemrana is an ancient historical town in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India, situated at 122 km from Delhi and 150 km from Jaipur on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Behror tehsil. It is situated in between Behror and Shahajahanpur. Neemrana is an industrial hub. This area is also known as Ahirwal region, It is the site of 16th century hill-fort occupied by Chauhans till 1947. The erstwhile ruling family is considered to be the direct lineage of Prithviraj Chauhan.

Some distance from Neemrana is another fort, Kesroli in Alwar district, that is one of the oldest heritage sites. Historians trace it to the Matsya Janapada of the Mahabharata times. In Kesroli one gets to see the oldest remains of Buddhist Vihara at Viratnagar where the Pandavas spent the last year of their exile incognito; Pandupole, with the only reclining statue of Hanuman; the samadhi of the ruler saint Bhartrihari. This is so overwhelming! Will surely organise one of my Events right here.

Finally, in 1986, the ruins were acquired for restoration. In 1991 Neemrana Fort - Palace opened its doors with the nobility of its fade raised, and just 15 liveable rooms.

In 2000 Neemrana won the Intach-Satte award for restoration & tourism for being the foremost example of how we can pick architectural treasures from the national dustbin and turn them around.
